Things I've Heard While Watching Football

"He has a nice purse." - referring to the fannypack-like hand warming pouch QBs wear.

"Why isn't the defense protecting Brady" - after the 3rd sack of Tom Brady a confused onlooker remarks.

"He looked like a nigga that stole a watermelon and ran for his life with it." - after a huge kickoff return by the Texans.

Go Pats!

Paul's Adventures In Beer: Peeper Ale

It's just about time for another new beer! I wrote this blog entry next week but I will post it now since if I wait for it to be written it may never get posted. Don't read this.
Omg... New beer! White label wine looking stuff. Maine Beer Company from Portland, Maine, produced this ale called something like:
Peeper Ale abv 5.5% American ale. That's it... Read the rest once it's written. Thanks. Post ends.

Paul' Adventures In Beer: Harpoon Wintry Mix

Surprise, suprise... Another winter variety mix. This time around it's the Harpoon Brewery Wintry Mix.
Harpoon is a local brewery that brews in Boston, Massachusetts or Windsor, Vermont, which up till now I have avoided...
I'm glad I tried it out. It has a great mix with 6 different types to try out, something for all beer fans.
The beers are:
Harpoon Winter Warmer 5.9% abv holiday beer
Harpoon Dark 5.2% abv year round dark beer
UFO White 4.8% abv American white ale
Harpoon IPA 5.9% abv
Harpoon Rich & Dan's Rye IPA 6.9% abv
Harpoon Chocolate Stout 5.9% abv (FUCK CHOCOLATE BEER!)
It's a decent 12 pack once you get around the chocolate beer.
Good day.

Paul's Adventures In Beer: The Kaiser

Avery Brewing Company's Dictator Series: The Kaiser was a beer I was more than glad to revisit last night. This imperial oktoberfest lager has a powerful 10.01% abv and is sure to get the night going right.
Absolutely a must try for any beer fan.

Paul's Adventures In Beer: The Lost Beer Review

Well shit... Seems one review got lost in the holiday shuffle. So why don't I tell you a little something about:
The Dundee Fall/Winter Variety Pack!
I have grown to like Dundee and it's seasonal variety packs for two reasons... #1 it's cheap and #2 it's a variety. It's an ok beer brand for fans of Sam Adams that want to save a few bucks and still have a decent beer.
The box art consists of a gentleman frog who killed his wife, a man urinating on a train schedule, a bar wench whose serving beer and stew made from the homeless and a fucking ship in a bottle. Now get inside there...
3 English-Style Ale 5% abv
3 Porter 6.5% abv
3 Pale Ale 5.3% abv
3 India Pale Ale 6.3% abv
This variety pack, it should be said, is a bit overwhelmed with lighter stuff than the average fall/winter mix would have.
Done.

The Paul Alcantara Beer Of The Year 2012!

Without further delay... The Paul Alcantara Beer Of The Year award for 2012 goes to...
Kona Brewing Company for it's Fire Rock Pale Ale!
This was a pleasant surprise this past summer that stands out as one of the best beers I have had in 2012.
This American style pale ale has a 6% abv rating and goes down as smooth as it looks.
I highly recommend giving it a try. I dream of sipping on one of these some day on a Hawaiian beach shaded by a palm all relaxed and smiling. Awww
